Facts:

1. The House Judiciary Committee found President Trump guilty and impeached him

2. Trump must go before the Senate to face a trial

3. The current Senate is a Republican Senate who has stated that they will stand behind Trump regardless of his guilty verdict

To the untrained eye, it seems as if President Trump, despite his "Twitter rants" insults to children, and all-around cantankerous behavior remains unbothered by all of this impeachment business. But upon further investigation, there seems to be a more calculating hand in action within the White House, adding to the Trump legacy. While most folks were sitting around waiting for the impeachment of #45, which has a great chance of NOT removing him from office, (how soon we do forget our Civic lessons!) The simple fact is that the House Judiciary Committee, with all of their direct evidence of wrongdoing and the apparent "quid pro quo" against this President, his "guilt" still has to submit to the power and the vote of the Senate. And for those of you out there holding your breath, I hate to tell you this but it probably will not happen because the current Senate is a Republican Senate. And a Republican Senate is a Trump Senate. All of the valiant efforts made to remove the stain of Trump from the fabric of our Democracy could all be thwarted by an acquittal from "his" Senate.

Trump is crazy like a fox! In the midst of all of this subterfuge and confusion, he was yet able to do what no other president before him has done and that is to strengthen and continue to build his presidential legacy. This past week's appointment of Lawrence Van Dyke was his 50th appellate court pick within 3 years. While we were all glued to our T.V. sets listening intently to the impeachment hearings, and shaking our heads in disgust at the actions of our Commander in Chief, another Donald Trump appointed insurgent slipped past us and on to the Federal Bench.

Why is this important? Well, it is these courts and not the Supreme Court that has the last word on Federal matters. All of Trump's appointees on average are 10 years younger than the usual appointees and hence they will be making laws for a long time to come regardless of the 20/20 outcome. It's kinda like Trump has set his house in order to carry on his thought processes, influences, and rhetoric in his future absence, all while the rest of the world was eating popcorn and watching his impeachment hearings. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals based out of San Francisco is the largest of the 13th circuits in the country and covers the whole western half of the united state including Alaska and Hawaii! That's 20% of the United States. The kicker is...."this region has historically been liberal and now, Trump has successfully appointed 10 of the 29 active seats!" The same Liberals, who struck down "Same-sex Marriage Ban," an individual's right to bear arms, the right to assist in suicide, and the folks who got rid of "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance...yeah, those folks, will awaken from their drunken, Trump-induced, television binge to find that there is a fox in their hen house! Trump has skillfully infiltrated their region with his implants while everyone sat wishing, and hoping, and watching and waiting for his demise. Did I say "crazy like a fox?" Well, in case you didn't hear me the first time... "CRAZY-LIKE-AN -ORANGE-SNEAKY- -HIDING-IN-THE-DARK, -READY-TO-POUNCE- FOX!" Sometimes the sleight-of-hand can certainly be quicker than the eye...
