The Cost of Change

~ by Amber Rogers

We have to protect our witnesses. With the changes in culture, comes the changes in the meaning of words. As believers, in order to continue to teach the same message, it is often wise and prudent to change the words to fit the current culture. It's as simple as that!! To insist on continuing to use something because it has been in use since the beginning is not prudent. if it gives a wrong impression of or the approval for a "cult" (Catholicism) in the times in which we now live, then the word or words should be abandoned ( the apostles' creed) and it has to be disassembled and reclaimed in a more effective way.

When the LGB...(ETC..too Many letters to remember) community holds a rally is it not counter-intuitive for believers to show up flashing a rainbow flag singing and chanting "I'm coming out??" Well, within the heart of that Christian participant he may be at peace knowing the intent of his heart, however, to onlookers, it is a victory for same-sex marriage, homosexual behavior and living on your own terms. When the "church" has been pillaged of its own language or terms, (as in the covenant of the rainbow) it is the wise "body" (of Christ) that holds on to the understanding of the covenant, and it's true meaning. Likewise, we should not allow for one second the message of the cross to be Indistinguishable from the heretic teachings of Catholicism. The price is too great and our "witness is too valuable.

It seems that the enemy is always pulling the "body" back to Catholicism. We walk, talk, and dress more like the very thing we are not and have never been, yet many so-called "Christians" jump right back online, waving their "flags" right on back to "The Abbey"....yes, the lower "c" in catholic meant universal, at the time of the writing, but a hijacking has taken place, an arbitrary theft. So what are we to do? Continue to call the thief master by submitting to it? Or do we in due diligence return the stolen goods to its rightful owners and denounce all further participation in its authenticity?
