While listening to all of the uproar over the accusations of racism leveled against the British Monarchy, by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the backlash and astonishment of their professed experiences are astonishing. The attitudes of "how dare they" echoed across the News outlets both across the Pond as well as in the United States. "How dare this interracial young couple speak their truths against the backdrop of Great Britain's Royal Family!?

As the widely televised interview with Oprah Winfrey and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex played out before the world's collective eyes, viewers were entranced! However, if there was any comedy to be had in this otherwise painful, recount of their reality it would have to be it's hypocrisy. It has always amazed me that in the clutches and illumination of racism that the goal of individuals (who obviously live their lives in a vacuum) is to take to their soapbox with the familiar song of "Not us, not here, this is not who we are" when in fact, this is exactly who you are!

So, who would have thought that Great Britain, the beloved Ancestral Matriarch of the United States of America, would be capable of such systemic egregiousness? Who would have thought that a history rich in the death, oppression, and colonization, around the globe, could possibly have its roots deeply entrenched in Racism? What gave it away? Was it the blood, sweat, and tears, and the millions of colonized indigenous people displaced and oppressed that gave it away? Or was it the written history of Britain's manipulation, violence, exploitation and crimes against humanity which clouded the reality of who she really is systemically? Through sheer brutality, many indigenous people have been brought into subjugation by the British Realm. These brown and black-skinned people of the continent of Africa, Australia, New Zealand the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands, were systematically raped of their heritage and their land, and "colonized" for the British Crown, who at its height was the largest Empire in history. An Empire which now holds 14 overseas territories, to the count of the United States which holds five. So, imagine the chagrin of the African-American and Brown people across the world as we watched an irate Piers Morgan storm away from his anchoring desk in anger at the truth and pain of this young couples report of racism leveled at them by the hands of this Monarchy! I found it almost laughable that some of the same antics were being put in place on the western side of the pond, when gauging the response coming from White America! To watch fellow American citizens, once again uphold systemic racism, at the peril of one of its own; with nothing to separate her from them except the color of her skin, was abominable.

But in the bigger picture of racism this all makes perfect sense! It is the intricate dance that we Americans swayed to on January 6th, it was a dividing dance that we wiggled to when we came face to face with Blue Lives versus Black lives versus Trumpian lives! The Blue and the Black miraculously commingled together for protection behind the cover of the Constitution, while racism and patriotism flung its flag of racism throughout the quarters of our State Capitol. And we all learned a lesson to be placed within the rolodexes of our minds, and that is: When you stand against the system of oppression for the sake of liberation from the binds of systemic racism, the "Nigger factor" will always bear you out and there is no hiding place!

As Megan and Harry journey toward wholeness, and endure their truth, the rest of the world needs to validate their receipts in order that they and we might become whole. Understanding that as bastard children of a British Monarchy, we Americans, are our mother's children replete with her DNA! And even the worst mother, continues to hold the allegiance from her offspring. They will stand by her and protect her secrets and they will vehemently deny her filthiness to the end!
